Providing efficient power for middle-market green hydrogen electrolysis

In a world increasingly conscious of its environmental footprint, the quest for sustainable and efficient energy solutions has never been more urgent.

The demand for hydrogen production from middle-market industrial users is rapidly increasing. Industries are actively working to reduce their carbon footprint by optimizing energy efficiency and exploring suitable and sustainable power sources. Many of these middle-market industries find it beneficial to produce hydrogen locally, which helps minimize storage and transportation costs.

The Hydrogen Electrolysis Process

Electrolysis is a simple method for producing hydrogen with minimal environmental impact, achieved by utilizing renewable energy sources. In water electrolysis, water (H₂O) is split into its two chemical constituents: hydrogen (H₂) and oxygen (O₂). This separation occurs through the application of stable and clean direct DC electrical power. To ensure a fully sustainable production cycle, the necessary energy should be supplied by renewable sources such as photovoltaic (PV) panels or wind turbines, supported by an efficient and clean alternating AC/DC rectifier.

Once produced, hydrogen can be stored and transported to be used in a growing number of applications: as an energy carrier, such as in power, steel and transportation companies, or as a reactant such as in heavy industries (chemical, oil refining, metallurgic).
